SES subject matter experts are involved in formulating program objectives, developing acquisition strategies, and evaluating proposals of cutting-edge research and development initiatives. Areas of expertise include aerospace, space, electronic warfare, information operations, data analytics,

Project Management
SES project managers are pros in the identification, planning, and execution of Grand Challenges and other large-scale technical engagements with international reach and revolutionary impacts. Specific areas of expertise include rules development, site identification and layout, logistics, event production, communications, scoring rubrics, staffing plans, and outreach. SES personnel have been an integral part of teams responsible for the success of the DARPA Spectrum Collaboration Challenge, DARPA 60th Anniversary Symposium, DARPA Cyber Grand Challenge, DARPA Demo Days, DARPA Spectrum Challenge, DARPA Network Challenge, DARPA Colloquiums, DARPA Urban Challenge, and DARPA Grand Challenge.
Financial Analysis & Executive Support
SES financial analysts and executive officers provide expertise in the execution and management of DoD programs and technical offices.
Financial analysts oversee program financial performance through the management of commitments, obligations, and expenditures. The executive support team works with DoD senior leadership on the planning and execution of short and long term objectives while maintaining day-to-day operations. SES staff manage internal and external interfaces to senior industry and government personnel, review and track suspenses, and coordinate complex schedules.

Business Financial Manager, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)
Responsible for managing program acquisition for DARPA program managers. Duties include tracking budgets, preparation of funding documents, assisting with solicitation and contract documents, coordinating meetings and conferences, and communicating with the performer community.
Requirements: BA/BS degree. Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Attention to detail. Analytical and finance skills. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Programmatic SETA, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)
Provide program support to DARPA leadership and program managers with analysis, coordination and support. Responsibilities include preparing program documents, developing briefs and reports, coordinating meetings and conferences, and tracking action items.
Requirements: BA/BS degree. Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Attention to detail. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Subject Matter Expert
Responsible for planning and developing technical projects of a research and development (R&D) nature. Demonstrated skill in conceiving, planning and conducting research of considerable scope and complexity requiring non-conventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques. Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices in one or more technical areas. Duties include analytic work in support of systems engineering or planning activities, including the development of preliminary and detailed functional analysis required for R&D programs. May provide leadership to large teams of functional or technical personnel.
Requirements: BA/BS degree or higher. Recognized as an expert or as a lead authority in technical or scientific fields. Attention to detail. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
